Mega T Green Tea Reviews

November 19th, 2009

Product Details

Mega T Green Tea was among the biggest products to hit the market right when green tea really hit its height of popularity. They make claims like lose 20 pounds fast and otherwise claims that relate to the general health benefits of green tea as a whole. This being said, they claim that their formulas will help you to lose weight and slim down to the attractive and healthy you that you want.

The Good

This formula has green tea. Of course, green tea is used in most products. But to be honest, there’s a good reason: it works. It has a ton of fat burning properties as well as powerful antioxidants. The antioxidants account for their claims about cholesterol and such.

The Bad

They don’t actually bother using the right amounts. This means that despite the fact that green tea is clinically proven, this product is not. This product doesn’t use the amounts used in successful clinical studies, and you could easily find something better. And unfortunately, one of the downsides to green tea is that, especially if you are sensitive to caffeine, you may suffer side effects common to caffeine, even when using the small amounts used in products such as this.

The Skinny

Products like Mega T Green Tea are not uncommon by any means. There are plenty of products out there that do the exact same thing, give you the exact same lack of results, all the while telling you that it must work due to “clinically proven ingredients.” But they always forget that ingredients are really only half the battle. We would definitely recommend finding something else.

The Best Ways To Gain Weight

October 1st, 2009

I have met very few people who actually needed or wanted to gain weight.  Everybody from the obese to the ridiculously skinny seems to want to lose weight.  But the reality is that sometimes you need to gain weight for health reasons, and sometimes you don’t want that bony physique, especially if it’s getting to an extreme point where you cannot gain weight and it’s starting to worry you.  So how do you gain weight again?

  1. Go to a doctor-chances are if you are having that much trouble gaining weight, you have one of two things: a medical condition or tape worms.  So it’s important just as it would be for your family pet to take a trip to the doctor and see if there’s anything wrong, especially including diabetes or a thyroid disorder.  These can be extremely dangerous to your health in general.
  2. Start eating more fat-one of the best ways to gain weight is obviously to eat more fat!  That’s what my sister was told when she was younger and severely underweight, and unless you’re anorexic, which would explain severe weight loss, chances are you are not eating enough fat in your diet and therefore, it is a problem of malnutrition among other things.
  3. Lift weights-this is an extremely healthy way to gain weight.  More muscle per square inch means less body fat, and it means more weight without actually suffering the related health problems of too much fat.
  4. Eat more-It’s simple.  But it creates more fat, and even if you are eating basically healthy foods, large masses of those foods will ultimately help you to gain more weight and it’s one of the best ways to gain weight.

Exercise For Weight Loss

September 25th, 2009

In order to burn fat and not just break apart some of the bonds for temporary results, you have to exercise. Diet only breaks apart the bonds, exercise actually burns the fat off, which is longer lasting and harder to undo in general terms. This being said, you basically want to burn off more calories, and you want to build more lean muscle mass to reduce the amount of body fat in your body among other things.

So what’s the answer? Well first assess your current fitness level. I mean you can’t really expect to just start running 10 miles right off the bat. That’s not really particularly reasonable. However, maybe you want to start at even ½ a mile. It may seem small now. But sometimes, it takes baby steps to see the ultimate results. So don’t dog on yourself just because it seems that you are starting out lower than somebody else. Second, make sure that you are exercising for at least an hour.

If this means running for about ½ a mile and then slowing it down to a walk for the rest of the time or for that matter switching between machines to get your hour of cardio, then you should do it. You can gradually expand your times of greater exertion, and really all of this is the best way to burn off the fat.

Martial Arts For Weight Loss

September 24th, 2009

Frankly speaking, I believe every girl should actually learn some kind of martial art.  If you are doing it right, there are plenty of instructors out there that really push you, and most girls could learn to suck it up a little bit and thicken up their skin.  The really good instructors can be a bit harsher with words and expectations.  But that’s what makes them good, and frankly that’s what makes you really able to use it to defend yourself in the future if that’s the key and workout if that’s your key goal.  I mean I used it for both purposes.

But this being said, it also teaches discipline.  Especially when you get to the black belt tests, it’s not just remembering forms, kicks, all of that good stuff.  It’s actually essay writing among other things, it’s a complicated thing that requires some degree of dedication, and it’s an accomplishment.  This being said, everybody should really be using it in general.  But frankly speaking, the best use for it for some people is working out.  If you are taking kickboxing, chances are you are not learning real self defense moves and you’re going to your local gym.  So that’s definitely purely for workout benefits.  But when it comes right down to it, just about any martial art could really be a great form of exercise and otherwise.

Meatless Monday To Lose Weight

September 22nd, 2009

Now eating vegetarian on a regular basis is really the best way to go, vegetarian statistically weigh less than non vegetarians, it’s a simple fact of life.  But this being said, even eating vegetarian once per week, that’s all, is a big deal.  But basically speaking, it cuts out the animal fats that are often responsible for greater obesity, greater heart disease, and greater problems in general.  This being said, they are calling it Meatless Monday in some schools such as the John Hopkins’ Bloomberg School of Public Health.

They want to reduce meat consumption by just 15%.  It’s not vegetarian really if it’s just one day a week.  But at the same point in time this Meatless Monday is making a huge difference in those who choose to really participate.  It will reduce cholesterol and heart disease, and people are more likely to actually have more antioxidants and more vitamins and minerals in their diet.  After all, you do have to replace the meats with something else.  Basically speaking, it has a slight cleansing effect with more fruits and vegetables, and over time many incorporate more of these foods not only on that day, but the rest of the week as well.  So basically, Meatless Monday makes a huge difference.

Thyroid Disorders

September 21st, 2009

There are so many things that the eyes can show you.  But one of the big things that the eyes can show you is a thyroid disorder.  Chances are if you have an overactive thyroid, you are already noticing that you are losing more weight without a change in diet and exercise, you may be tired a lot, and other things.  But frankly, the signs surrounding the eyes just confirm the diagnosis, and frankly in some ways, the signs that surround the eyes denote a more severe problem.

One of the big signs is when your eyebrows start falling out at the ends or otherwise.   Hair loss is a big part of hyperthyroidism.  But the second big sign is actually bulging eyes.  Not everyone who has bulging eyes has a thyroid disorder keep in mind.  For example, the lady that was really big in commercials for a while who could actually pop her eyes out of her head to a larger degree probably didn’t have it.  But apparently, first lady Barbara Bush had a severe form known as Graves’ Disease.

I wouldn’t have guessed that one by weight alone, but obviously it has a wide spread.  This being said, if you also notice blurry vision, restlessness, fatigue, increased appetite, weight loss, tremors, and palpitations in addition to your bulging eyes or loss in eyebrow hair, you may want to go see a doctor and get tests done to confirm or find another problem.

Can Steroids Help You Lose Weight

September 19th, 2009

In some ways, I would say that the best weight loss supplement you could find are steroids, at least for men.  I hate to say it, because quite frankly steroids come with so many problems like exploding muscles(literally exploding like a bomb, not a good thing), shrinking testicles, serious acne, and otherwise.  But think about it.  I mean steroids basically make your muscle growth explode, and that’s meant in a good way to some degree, even going beyond your body’s natural capacity without it.

I mean you could work out for twice the time and not get the same results.  This being said, when it does this, it naturally burns quite a bit of fat, because muscles in general increase your body’s natural metabolism.  You still have to do cardio to burn more fat to reveal the muscles you are building.  But in sheer strength and energy for those workouts, you get far better results.

It sounds ridiculous, and definitely without question the benefits do not actually measure up to the risks and side effects.  But realistically speaking, the fact is that so often, the best fat burners, the best weight loss supplements are often the most dangerous unfortunately speaking.  That’s why when you see extreme claims, it’s always wise to be wary of what they are really using.

Reasons People Can’t Lose Weight

September 17th, 2009

There are various reasons why people say they can’t lose weight.  Usually it’s because they’re cheating and not really acknowledging their own bad habits.  But that being said, there are some actually legitimate cases that hold people back from losing weight.  This being said, most are not.  But the most common reason is basically you may have a thyroid disorder.  Often this is characterized by weight gain, inability to lose weight, constipation, depression, inability to handle cold temperatures, losing hair, no sex drive, agitation, moodiness, irregular menstrual cycles, muscle cramps, and general pallor of the skin.

This is only with an underactive thyroid keep in mind, and it’s fairly rare still the same.  Frankly, most cases are rather minor and with a step up in work, you can still lose weight.  Others actually suffer metabolic syndrome, which leads to type 2 diabetes over time.  It generally shows itself by causing insulin resistance, obesity, abnormal lipids, and hypertension in many cases.  Again, these reasons are uncommon.  So if you are not losing weight, don’t automatically blame them, they are quite serious medical conditions. But at the same point, if you have other symptoms, it’s worth checking out.

Disease & Weight Loss

September 10th, 2009

Sometimes it seems that the most effective way to lose weight is through extreme disease. You always end up gaining it back, and it’s not a pleasant experience.  Well one girl who had MS didn’t gain it back ever, and they literally took forever actually trying to figure it out.  That being said, if you have a stomach disorder like Crohn’s disease or even diabetes, you tend to lose a lot of weight while they are trying to figure it out, and some can be hard to diagnose because the things of diagnosis like to hide.

Crohn’s disease is one of those.  But frankly eating disorders and problems are rather common among those with diabetes, because while they tend to lose weight at first, when they actually get on the right treatments, their bodies are commonly known to quickly gain the weight back and in some cases gain more back.  That’s not pleasant for anyone, but it has to be done.  But frankly, mostly with digestive disorders, it can be hard to diagnose and harder to treat in some cases, because in some cases, not everything will work the same way, no matter whether it’s supposed to or not.

Avoid Heart Disease

September 9th, 2009

There are some that would deny the simple facts not only about weight loss, but about the benefits of weight loss and what they are really doing for themselves.  I see plenty of people claiming that they are doing everything they can for their heart, for their cholesterol, etc, and yet the last thing they think about is actually losing weight, actually changing things to maybe lower their cholesterol, what a revolution right?

But that being said, if you actually want to avoid suffering heart attack, stroke, high blood pressure or cholesterol, or in general other signs and symptoms of heart disease in general, there are a few basic things to do that amazingly enough will work for the high majority of people without using medications.  First of all, you should eat a healthy diet which comes to include many fruits, vegetables, vitamins, antioxidants, and fibers!

Second, you should exercise. Using cardio to get the heart rate up really helps the heart.  As you may have noticed, all of these so far also promote weight loss!

Third, you should avoid smoking or stop smoking

So 2 out of 3 actually indicate that you should lose weight and use methods that would promote weight loss.  It’s not all that surprising if you actually think about it, and really what’s wrong with it?  You won’t be accepted among friends who like to think being overweight is okay or something to celebrate?  You won’t be out of breath all the time, you won’t suffer a risk of type 2 diabetes, I don’t see these things as bad things really.  All in all, real friends will want you to actually be happy and get what you really need.
